Shipping Policy – Opulent Curtains
All prices listed on our website include applicable taxes unless otherwise stated in writing.
Standard Shipping Rates
We offer a flat-rate shipping fee of $60 per order for delivery across Australia.
Please note: Specific shipping costs may vary depending on your quote or order confirmation.
Production & Delivery Timeframes
As all Opulent Curtains products are custom-made, all delivery timeframes provided are estimates only and subject to change. While we always aim to dispatch your order within 14 business days, custom made curtains and blinds may require additional time depending on the availability of materials/ fabrics. We are not liable for reasonable delays outside of our control.
Delivery & Tracking
We use a trusted network of courier partners to deliver directly from our factory to your door. Once your order has been collected for delivery, we’ll provide you with a tracking number (when available), so you can monitor your shipment’s progress.
Authority to Leave
All deliveries are made with authority to leave, unless you specify otherwise in your order. If no one is available to receive the goods and no alternative delivery instructions are provided, your items will be left at the premises. By selecting this option, you accept full responsibility for the goods once they have been delivered.
If you would prefer to make alternative delivery arrangements (e.g. leave with a neighbour or in a secure location), please include this in the “Special Instructions” section when placing your order.
Please note: Opulent Curtains is not liable for any damage or loss to unattended deliveries.
Ownership & Risk
Risk in the goods passes to you upon delivery to the address you’ve provided. Ownership of the goods passes to you only once full payment has been received.
If goods are returned to us, risk and ownership revert to Opulent Curtains upon our confirmed receipt of the items.
Multiple Deliveries
If your order includes multiple items, these may be shipped separately and may arrive at different times or via different couriers.
Returns Policy – Opulent Curtains
At Opulent Curtains, each of our pieces is meticulously handcrafted to meet your specific requirements. As such, once your order has been accepted and placed into production, it cannot be cancelled. We understand, however, that circumstances can change. Should you wish to amend or cancel your order prior to dispatch, we encourage you to contact us as swiftly as possible. In some cases, we may be able to pause production. If so, a partial refund may be offered—less any costs already incurred during the tailoring and preparation of your bespoke curtains. While we will make every effort to accommodate your request, this cannot be guaranteed.
Upon delivery, we kindly ask that you carefully inspect your curtains within 7 days of receipt. If you notice any damage, missing components (such as tiebacks, hooks, or fittings), or defects present upon opening the packaging, please notify us immediately so we can address the issue with urgency.
Please note, we cannot be held responsible for any damage, marks, or imperfections that arise from incorrect installation, improper care, or general wear and tear. Fabric flaws resulting from misuse, negligence, or failure to follow care instructions fall outside our responsibility.
Should your curtains arrive with a defect, you are entitled to a remedy under the Australian Consumer Law. Depending on whether the defect is considered minor or major, this remedy may include repair, replacement, refund, or credit.
In cases where a refund or replacement is issued, we reserve the right to collect the original goods at our expense. You will be required to provide reasonable access for this collection.

Opulent Curtains – Warranty Terms & How We Honour Them
At Opulent Curtains, we are committed to delivering high-quality window furnishings backed by reliable support. As a distributor for several trusted suppliers, our warranty terms may vary depending on the specific products selected. However, we offer 1-3 years limited warranty on blinds, tracks, and components purchased in Australia, covering defects in materials and workmanship.
How We Honour This Warranty
If any product is found to be defective in materials or workmanship, or fails to perform as intended, Opulent Curtains will, at our discretion, repair or replace the product—provided:
The issue falls within the warranty coverage.
A valid warranty claim is submitted within the applicable time frame.
Activating Your Warranty
Your warranty is valid once:
A Warranty Certificate will be issued after installation is completed including product details.
You return the signed certificate to Opulent Curtains within 21 days of installation
Costs & Exclusions
While we aim to keep service fair and accessible, the following costs are the responsibility of the customer:
Travel or inspection fees
Freight and handling
Removal or reinstallation of products
A call-out fee may apply for product inspections. If the product is found to be faulty under warranty, this fee will be refunded.
This warranty does not cover:
Labour or installation costs
Normal wear and tear
Damage from misuse, abuse, pets, accidents, or improper installation
Exposure to harsh environments, sun, moisture, or marine conditions
Failure to follow care or cleaning instructions
Modifications by non-certified personnel
Use of non-original or third-party components
Cosmetic deterioration including fading, discolouration, rust, or mould
Batteries or power-related accessories
Important Notes
This warranty is valid only for the original purchaser or first end-user.
It is limited to product supply only, not including installation services or associated costs.
Any extended warranty on fabric or components will be subject to the original supplier’s terms.
All claims are assessed at the sole discretion of Opulent Curtains and/or our supply partners.
